Flowers are the expression of beauty that can never be contained. They awaken our senses with wonder as they blossom into their perfection of color, texture and scent.

We all need to experience beauty and the effortless joy it provides. To witness the gradual unfolding of a flower as it opens is a captivating work of art. Flowers are alive, constantly changing and inviting us to look closer. That sense of wonder is what I love to share in my work. My design style resonates with my experience of the garden, allowing the flowers space to shine on their own: vibrant blooms at the peak of their season, unique varieties locally sourced and lush combinations full of movement that feel handpicked from the garden.

As a young child I was intrigued by the scent of plants - soaking rose petals in bowls of water to make perfume, burying my nose in the fragrant irises and roses of my mother’s garden, picking handfuls of fragrant sweet peas and rubbing mint leaves. As I touched and smelled the flowers, the garden became my muse. I observed the ever-changing shape of the tulips from tight buds to fluttery petals and I memorized the cadence of the season waiting for the Daphne to bloom.

This fascination with the garden led me to studying Horticulture, working in several nurseries and working in landscape design. More recently, I studied flower farming with Floret Flower Farm in NW Washington, and floral design at Tallulah Rose Flower School in Northern England. I have also had the very good fortune to study with talented designers T.J. McGrath, Rachel Wardley, Frances Palmer and Lucy Hunter.

I hope you will experience the unique beauty of the seasons in my floral designs.
